Verona vs. Parma: a battle for survival
A relegation showdown will take place at the Bentegodi between Verona and Parma. The home side haven’t won a game this season and, after a draw at Lecce, they hope to take all three points to overtake their opponents in the table. However, Parma have only secured one victory on 29 September against Torino, and after an impressive draw with Milan, they are now hoping to keep the momentum going and move away from the bottom of the table.
HEAD-TO-HEAD
There have been 30 official meetings between the two sides in Verona: 22 wins for the Gialloblù (the most recent a 2–1 in Serie A 2020/21), 5 draws (the last a 0–0 in Serie A last season) and 3 wins for Parma (the most recent a 2–0 in Serie A 2000/01). Parma have not won in Verona since 28 January 2001, a 2-0 Serie A victory thanks to a Di Vaio brace, in a match in which Verona’s Mutu missed a penalty.
DID YOU KNOW?
Verona have not won at home since 23 February, a 2–1 victory over Fiorentina. Since then they have played 12 official matches at the Bentegodi, with a record of 8 draws and 4 defeats. The two least prolific attacks in Serie A 2025/26 go head to head: 6 goals scored by Verona, 7 by Parma.
