Udinese and Lecce hope to win again

Udinese, without a win since mid-September, host a Lecce side hoping to draw level with their opponents

Udinese and Lecce want victory as they meet at the Bluenergy Stadium. The hosts haven’t won since 14 September, picking up just two points from their last four matches – the most recent a draw away to Cremonese. Lecce, who are three points behind the Friulani, have collected five in the same period and will be aiming for a win that would see them draw level with their opponents in the table.

HEAD-TO-HEAD

There have been 26 official meetings between the two sides in Friuli: 18 wins for the Bianconeri, 5 draws, and 4 victories for the Salentini. Udinese have scored at home against the Salentini in 12 consecutive meetings, for a total of 21 goals. Their last blank was the 0–1 defeat on 23 December 2001 in Serie A.

DID YOU KNOW?

Two consecutive clean sheets for Lecce: the last goal conceded by the Salentini was scored by Odgaard in the 71st minute of Lecce–Bologna 2–2 on 28 September. They had not recorded back-to-back clean sheets since last February—0–0 at home to Bologna and then at Monza.

COACHES and PLAYERS

Between Kosta Runjaic and Eusebio Di Francesco, this is the third official meeting, with one win for the Udinese manager and one for the Lecce manager. Eusebio Di Francesco made his Serie A managerial debut in a Lecce–Udinese match, won 2– 0 by the Friulani at the Via del Mare on 11 September 2011.
