Torino and Lecce look to bounce back

Torino and Lecce are both aiming for all three points after recent defeats.

Both teams will be aiming to get back to winning ways and put their respective seasons back on track when Torino host Lecce at the Olimpico Grande Torino on Serie A Matchday 11. The Granata need to bounce back from defeats to Como and Frosinone, which ended a run of three consecutive victories. Lecce, four points further down the table, have lost their last three matches and are desperate to turn things around.

HEAD TO HEAD

There have been 17 previous competitive meetings between the two sides in Turin: 11 wins for Torino (most recently 1-0 in Serie A 2025/26), 4 draws (most recently 2-2 in Serie A 2024/25) and 2 wins for Lecce (most recently 2-1 in Serie A 2019/20).

Lecce have gone 428 minutes without scoring away to Torino: their last goal there was scored by Stępiński in the 22nd minute of Torino-Lecce 3-1 on 28 October 2020 in the Coppa Italia.

The meeting on 25 June 1989 at the Via del Mare was a historic one: on the final Matchday of Serie A 1988/89, in a situation very similar to the current one with both sides fighting for survival, Lecce won 3-1. Benedetti, Barbas and Paciocco scored for the hosts, while Fuser found the net for Torino. Lecce stayed up, while Torino were relegated to Serie B.
