Building on Telemundo's leadership in world-class soccer, the network expands its premium European football portfolio for U.S. Hispanic audiences

Telemundo, the leading Spanish-language home of world-class soccer in the United States, today announced it has acquired the exclusive Spanish-language media rights in the U.S. to the Serie A Championship, Coppa Italia and Supercoppa Italiana for three seasons beginning with the 2026/27 campaign and continuing through the 2028/29 season. The agreement further expands Telemundo's industry-leading soccer portfolio and reinforces its commitment to delivering the world's top soccer competitions to Hispanic audiences across the United States.

Under the agreement, Telemundo will deliver comprehensive live coverage of Italy's top football competitions across its portfolio of broadcast, cable, streaming and digital platforms, including the Telemundo Network, Universo, Peacock and Telemundo Deportes Ahora, the company's dedicated FAST sports channel. Coverage will include the Serie A Championship, Coppa Italia and Supercoppa Italiana, supported by extensive studio programming, expert analysis, original digital content and match-day coverage designed specifically for U.S. Hispanic audiences.

“Serie A has long been one of the world's top football leagues, home to legendary clubs, iconic rivalries and some of the game's biggest stars,” said Joaquin Duro, EVP of Sports and Head of Streaming, NBCUniversal Telemundo Enterprises. “Serie A brings together historic clubs, elite players and one of the richest traditions in football, making it a natural addition to our growing portfolio of premium soccer properties across broadcast, streaming and digital platforms.”

On the heels of Telemundo’s record-breaking performance during the FIFA World Cup 2026™, together with the recent acquisitions of the exclusive Spanish-language media rights to the Bundesliga and the UEFA men’s club competitions, this acquisition further cements its position as the definitive home of world-class soccer for U.S. Hispanic audiences across every major viewing platform. Serie A joins an unmatched portfolio of premium sports programming including world-class sports properties such as Premier League, Bundesliga, U.S. Men’s and Women’s National teams, Liga MX clubs CD Guadalajara, FC Juárez, and Tigres UANL, and Olympic soccer, as well as UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League, UEFA Conference League and UEFA Super Cup, starting in 2027.

One of the world's most prestigious domestic football competitions, Serie A is Italy's top professional league and is renowned for its tactical excellence, passionate supporters and rich football heritage. The league features 20 clubs competing across a 38-round season and showcases many of the game's biggest international stars alongside some of Europe's most iconic clubs. Current players include Christian Pulisic, Lautaro Martínez, Johan Vázquez, Paulo Dybala, Weston McKennie, Nico Paz and Giovanni Simeone, among many others.
