Serie A is back in Pisa, with Roma the visitors
Whatever happens, it will be a party: Pisa are bringing Serie A back home after a 34-year-long wait, and a solid point in Bergamo last week.
Roma will look to spoil the celebration after beating Bologna back home, determined to make it two from two.
HEAD-TO-HEAD
In the nine official matches played in Tuscany among all competitions, Inter have won three times (in 1988/89: 3-1 in Coppa Italia and 1-0 in Serie A, and 2-0 in Serie Bin 1951/52), with two draws (both 1-1, the last in Serie A in 1987/88) and four Giallorossi victories (the last 1-0 in Serie A in 1990/91).
DID YOU KNOW?
On May 26, 1991 Pisa-Roma 0-1 (decisive goal by Muzzi) was Pisa's last match in Serie A before last Sunday's 1-1 draw in Bergamo, 34 years later. Pisa's home matches resume where they left off, against the Giallorossi, 12,515 days later. Alberto Gilardino faces Roma again: as a player, the Biella striker scored 12 goals against the club from the Capital, his third favourite target in his career after Udinese (15) and Chievo Verona (13).
COACHES
This is the fourth meeting between Alberto Gilardino and Gian Piero Gasperini in their careers: so far, Roma new coach has always won, with a goal difference of 11-2 in his favour.
