Serie A Enilive 2025/26 in numbers
A total of 281 wins and 99 draws were recorded across the 380 matches played, with 922 goals scored overall. Compared to the 2024/25 season, there were nine more victories, although the scoring average dipped slightly, from 2.56 goals per game to 2.43.
INTER CHAMPIONS
Inter were crowned Italian champions for the 21st time. The Nerazzurri finished the season with 89 goals scored, their highest total in the Serie A over the last five seasons, equalling the tally set by Simone Inzaghi's Inter in the 2023/24 campaign.
Lautaro Martínez finished as Serie A's top scorer with 17 goals. Since the league returned to a 20-team format in 2004/05, no Capocannoniere had ever won the scoring title with fewer than 20 goals. The previous lowest tally came in 2007/08, when Alessandro Del Piero finished as the league's top scorer with 21 goals. Looking at all Serie A formats, regardless of the number of teams, the last Capocannoniere to win the award with fewer than 20 goals was Gianluca Vialli, who scored 19 times in 1990/91, the year Sampdoria won the Scudetto in an 18-team league.
Lautaro Martínez became Inter's third-highest scorer of all time. The Argentine striker reached 175 official goals in a Nerazzurri shirt (first among foreign players and fourth in Serie A history with 132 league goals overall).
NAPOLI FINISH SECOND
Napoli qualified for the UEFA Champions League for the 13th time in their history: across the last six seasons, the Partenopei have finished with fewer than the 76 points collected this campaign on just one occasion (53 in the 2023/24 season).
Scott McTominay becomes the highest-scoring Scottish player in Serie A history: he has now scored 22 goals in Italy's top flight (12 in the 2024/25 season and 10 in the campaign just concluded). He moves clear of Ché Adams and Lewis Ferguson, who share second place in the all-time Scottish scoring rankings with 15 goals each.
ROMA FINISH THIRD
Roma finished third with 73 points meaning that the Giallorossi qualified for the UEFA Champions League for the first time since the 2017/18 season.
Donyell Malen was influential in the second half of the campaign: he scored 14 goals following his arrival in Italy, with no player ever having found the net more times after joining a Serie A club during the winter transfer window.
Bryan Cristante broke into Roma's all-time top 10 for appearances: the midfielder reached 364 official appearances for the Giallorossi, drawing level with Guido Masetti in 10th place in the club's history.
COMO, FINISH FOURTH AFTER A RECORD-BREAKING SEASON
Como qualified for a European competition for the first time in the club's history: their fourth-place finish secures a historic first-ever appearance in the UEFA Champions League. The Lariani also set several new club records in Serie A, including most wins (20), most points (71) and most goals scored (65).
CREMONESE, VERONA AND PISA GO DOWN
Cremonese were relegated with 34 points: the second-highest points tally recorded by a relegated team since the 2020/21 season, behind only Frosinone in 2023/24 (18th with 35 points).
Wladimiro Falcone and Antonino Gallo moved onto Lecce's all-time Serie A appearances podium: the goalkeeper has now made 152 appearances, while the defender has reached 135. Guillermo Giacomazzi remains top of the club's all-time rankings with 196 appearances.
Lorenzo Montipò climbed to third in Hellas Verona's all-time Serie A appearances rankings: he has now made 179 top-flight appearances for the Gialloblù.
Marius Marin rises to third in Pisa's all-time appearances rankings: the midfielder has made 268 official appearances for the Nerazzurri, the highest total ever recorded by a foreign player in the club's history.
