S.S. Lazio, FIAS and AES join forces for press conferences in sign language

S.S. Lazio, in collaboration with the  Federazione Italiana Associazioni Sordi (Italian Federation of Deaf Associations) and the Accademia Europea Sordi (European Deaf Academy), is promoting a major initiative dedicated to accessibility and the inclusion of deaf individuals, with the aim of making sports communication increasingly equitable, engaging, and truly universal.

Starting Friday, February 13, during the press conference scheduled for 3:00 PM for the presentation of the new Lazio Women players, the Club will permanently introduce Italian Sign Language (LIS) into its official activities, thanks to the support of LIS interpreters and specialized performers.

This initiative is set to continue over time: all press conferences held at the Formello Training Center, as well as post-match press conferences at the stadio Olimpico, will be accompanied by Sign Language translation. The goal is to guarantee everyone the right to information and full participation in the Club`s life, providing a concrete response to the accessibility needs of its fans.

This is a tangible step that confirms S.S. Lazio`s commitment to promoting a sporting culture based on respect, inclusion, and social responsibility, with the awareness that football must be a language capable of uniting everyone, without barriers.
