Roma hosts Parma to keep the lead
Gasperini’s Roma welcome Parma to the Olimpico as they aim to maintain their position at the top of the table. The Giallorossi put their recent defeat to Inter behind them with an away win over Sassuolo and are now targeting a second consecutive victory. Parma, meanwhile, come into the match following two 0-0 draws against Genoa and Como and will be hoping for a big result to move further clear of the relegation zone.
HEAD-TO-HEAD
The sides have met 30 times in Rome, with the Giallorossi firmly in control: 21 victories (most recently a 5-0 rout last season), eight draws (the last being a 1-1 stalemate in 2018/19), and just one Parma triumph—a 1-0 success in 1996/97. Parma's solitary win in Rome came on 13 April 1997, courtesy of Hernán Crespo's decisive strike.
DID YOU KNOW?
Roma-Parma on the final day of the 2000/01 campaign was a title party at the Olimpico. The 3-1 victory, with goals from Totti, Montella and Batistuta (Di Vaio for the visitors), sealed Roma's third Scudetto. The Giallorossi have lost three consecutive home fixtures—two in the Europa League and one in the league. Under Gasperini's six matches in charge, they've suffered four defeats at the Olimpico. The Ducali haven't scored away in Serie A this season. Their last away goal came in May's 3-2 victory at Atalanta (then managed by Gasperini), with Ondřejka netting the winner in stoppage time. Parma's barren run now stands at 360 consecutive minutes.
COACHES and PLAYERS
