Serie A Enilive, Matchday 32: Inter’s comeback strengthens their hold on top spot

The league leaders stole the spotlight with a spectacular 4–3 win in Como. Napoli slipped up, and Milan dropped points at home: results, goals, and stats from Matchday 32 of Serie A Enilive.

Inter truly made the most of this matchday by securing a win worth more than just three points. Behind two goals in Como, Chivu’s side turned it around with character and quality, drawing on their habit of scoring late in the first half, just as they did against Roma at San Siro. The game featured braces from Thuram, the king of multiple-goal games, and Dumfries, who hadn’t scored one since the Champions League semi-final against Barcelona. Inter managed to secure a comeback that strongly powers their Scudetto bid.

Behind them, Napoli’s draw in Parma and Milan’s home defeat widen the gap. Juventus reignite their European ambitions thanks to the ever-reliable Boga, and Roma continue their push driven by an in-form Malen. At the bottom of the table, there were crucial wins for Cagliari, Genoa, and Fiorentina, making survival even more of a challenge for Lecce and Cremonese.

Roma-Pisa 3-0

Roma dominated from early on at the Olimpico thanks to Donyell Malen’s sensational form. He scored after just 2 minutes and 57 seconds, the club’s fastest in the league this season, and opened the scoring on a night that also saw him net his first Serie A hat-trick. Since January, the Dutchman has recorded ten goals, second only to Harry Kane across Europe’s top five leagues in that span. Roma continue to build momentum with two wins (and two clean sheets) in their last three. Pisa, meanwhile, remain in the relegation zone, with seven defeats in their last nine under Hiljemark.

Torino-Verona 2-1

Torino managed to further distance themselves from the relegation zone with their third straight home win in a solid display against Verona. Simeone gave them an early lead, but Verona responded through Bowie, assisted directly by Montipò, bringing their 341 minutes without a goal to an end. Casadei scored the decisive goal in the second half, recording five league goals for the 2003-born midfielder, the youngest Italian to reach that mark this season, behind only Francesco Pio Esposito. Torino continue picking up points under D’Aversa, while Verona’s 18 points after 32 games reflect a difficult campaign.

Cagliari-Cremonese 1-0

Cagliari claimed a vital win in the relegation battle, with Sebastiano Esposito heading home the decisive goal in the second half. The Sardinian side return to winning ways after four straight defeats and now move up to 33 points. Esposito continues his strong run, with four goal contributions in his last five matches. 2026 has proven difficult for Cremonese with their eleven defeats so far this year and a ranking that requires immediate action.

Milan-Udinese 0-3

A game that defied all expectations of the matchday unfolded at San Siro, where Udinese beat Milan with clinical efficiency. An own goal from Bartesaghi opened the scoring, before Ekkelenkamp and Atta secured a historic away win. Udinese had never before led by two goals at half-time away to Milan in Serie A, and following their victory against Inter earlier in the season, they completed a rare double at the Meazza. For Milan, the numbers speak for themselves: it’s their first-ever home defeat by three goals without scoring under Allegri. On the other hand, Udinese make it three positive results in a row and take a major step toward safety.

Atalanta-Juventus 0-1

Juventus edged the direct clash for European places, beating Atalanta thanks to Boga’s early goal in the second half. This is Juventus’ first league win over Atalanta in nearly three years and marks another step in their strong run: four wins from their last five games, all with clean sheets. Boga has proven decisive, scoring four goals since early March, second only to Malen in that period. For Atalanta, it’s their first home defeat in Serie A Enilive since 28 December.

Genoa-Sassuolo 2-1

Genoa turned to individual quality to secure a key win in the survival race. Malinovskyi opened the scoring with a long-range strike, a testament to his impressive shooting ability. Since Malinovskyi’s Serie A debut in 2019/20, only Messi and Mbappé have scored more from distance in Europe’s top leagues. Following Koné’s equaliser and red cards for Ellertsson and Berardi before half-time, Ekuban sent in the winning strike, with a brilliant assist from Messias,  just five minutes from time. Genoa now have three wins from their last five games, moving nine points clear of danger.

Parma-Napoli 1-1

Parma took Napoli by surprise with a lightning start at the Tardini, as Strefezza scored after just 33 seconds, one of the fastest goals of the season, the second fastest among the Gialloblù after Bernabè’s strike against Bologna in 13 seconds. Napoli responded through McTominay in the second half, marking his third consecutive away goal. Despite 20 shots, the visitors couldn’t find a winner. This is the second draw between the sides this season, one of 12 for Parma as they maintain the joint-highest draw record in the league alongside Pisa.

Bologna-Lecce 2-0

Bologna demonstrated their excellent form with an impressive win over Lecce. Freuler scored his first goal in nearly a year, with Orsolini adding to the scoreline in stoppage time. The Rossoblù boast the best points-per-game average since Matchday 25 (2.25), with six wins in eight matches, and are now just five points behind Atalanta, who are seventh. It is also worth highlighting 18-year-old Pessina’s clean sheet. However, for Lecce, this was their fourth straight defeat, and they remain the lowest-scoring side among Europe’s top leagues.

Como-Inter 3-4

The highlight of this matchday brought plenty of drama at the Sinigaglia. Como raced into a 2–0 lead through Valle and Nico Paz, both showcasing their attacking quality. But Inter responded with serious impact as Thuram scored a brace, making this his sixth multi-goal game since 2024/25, more than anyone else, and Dumfries scored his first Serie A brace, reaching 20 league goals since joining, second only to Dimarco among defenders in that time. Da Cunha’s goal from a penalty wasn’t enough for Como, as Inter made a comeback, maintaining their dominance over Fabregas’ side with a 12–3 aggregate score. The Nerazzurri once again prove their ability to respond, already seen in the closing stages of the first half against Roma.

Fiorentina-Lazio 1-0

Fiorentina picked up all three points at the Franchi, thanks to Gosens’ header in the first half and key saves from David De Gea. The Viola are now eight points clear of the relegation zone and continue their strong run with 18 points from their last nine matches. It’s also their second consecutive clean sheet. Whereas Lazio seem to be struggling on the road, with just ten goals in 16 away games, an unprecedented stat in the three-points-for-a-win era.
