Napoli in Pisa hoping to secure Champions League
Three points would see Napoli mathematically secure their spot in next season’s Champions League. After a draw to Como and the home defeat to Bologna, the Azzurri want to get back to winning ways to ensure a top-four finish and to tighten their grip on second place without needing to worry about results elsewhere.
HEAD TO HEAD
There have been 12 previous meetings between the two sides in Pisa: 4 wins for the Nerazzurri (the last a 2-0 victory in the 1982/83 Serie A season), 4 draws (the last a 1-1 draw in the 1990/91 Serie A season) and 4 wins for the Neapolitans (the last a 3-0 victory in the 2005/06 Serie C1 season).
The last meeting between Pisa and Napoli in Serie A in Tuscany dates back to 17 February 1991, a 1-1 draw with goals from Ferrara and Padovano.
Napoli could qualify for the Champions League for the 13th time in their history (including the former European Cup).
