Napoli continue Scudetto pursuit in Monza

A meeting between two teams at opposite ends of the table

Monza and Napoli will meet in an 18:00 CEST kick-off at the U-Power Stadium. While the Brianzoli, who have picked up just two points in their last twelve matches, are hanging on by a thread, Napoli are looking to make it back-to-back wins after beating Empoli last week. A win would see them draw level with Inter at the top of the table – at least for 24 hours.

Napoli have scored at least two goals in three games against Monza in Serie A (10 goals in total), failing to score in the other two; only Atalanta (five) and Inter (four) have scored at least two goals in more matches against the Brianzoli in the competition. Dany Mota (5 goals and 2 assists) has already been involved in seven goals in this Serie A campaign — his joint-best total in a single season in the competition (seven also in 2023/24). With one more goal, he could both score more than one home goal against the same opponent in Serie A for the first time in his career (he already netted against Napoli at the U-Power Stadium on May 14, 2023) and set a new personal record for goals in a single Italian top-flight campaign (five also in 2022/23). Scott McTominay has scored eight goals in Serie A this season, surpassing his previous record for goals in a single campaign in the Big-5 European leagues (seven in 2023/24 for Manchester United) – five of his goals arrived when the score was 0-0, while he is the midfielder with the most opening goals in Serie A in 2024/25.
