Monza vs. Lecce: big relegation clash

Monza need a victory over Lecce, who want to move further clear of the relegation zone

At the same time as Udinese host Empoli, Monza will face Lecce at the U-Power Stadium (15:00 CET). After four consecutive defeats - including a heavy loss to Lazio last time out - the Brianzoli, with Nesta back in the dugout, need a win as they look to close the eight-point gap on 17th place. Meanwhile, Lecce, who could go three unbeaten after getting the better of Parma and drawing with Bologna, are hoping for another positive result to put further distance between themselves and the relegation zone.

HEAD-TO-HEAD

Lecce are unbeaten in five matches against Monza in Serie A (W2 D3); among teams the Salento side have never lost to, they have played the joint-most matches against Monza (five also against Venezia). Both Monza and Lecce have found the net in four of their five Serie A meetings, with only the Brianza side failing to score in their first match at the U-Power Stadium in the top-flight on 28 May 2023 (0-1 away win).
