Monza vs. Juventus to get back to winning ways

Monza and Juventus both need three points, which both haven’t achieved for a while

The final Sunday fixture on matchday 17 in Serie A Enilive will take place at the U-Power Stadium, where Monza are set to take on Juventus. The hosts, who currently prop up the table, want to put their defeats to Udinese and Lecce behind them and record their second victory of the campaign having only won in Verona (on 21 October) so far. After four consecutive draws against AC Milan, Lecce, Bologna and Venezia, Juventus also need a win to avoid losing further ground on the frontrunners in the table.

HEAD TO HEAD

There is a perfect balance in the four matches between Monza and Juventus in Serie A: the Brianza won the two matches of the 2022/23 season while the Bianconeri won the two matches of 2023/24 – four goals scored in total by both teams. Monza's first victory in its history in Serie A came against Juventus, on 18 September 2022 at U-Power Stadium 1-0 with a goal scored by Christian Gytkjær.

Juventus (1699) are close to winning their 1700th match in Serie A; only Real Madrid, Barcelona and Arsenal have already reached this milestone since 1929/30 in the Big-5 European leagues. Monza have spent the fewest minutes in winning positions in home games in Serie A this season: seven minutes (all against Inter on 15 September).

Teun Koopmeiners has been involved in five goals in four matches against Monza in Serie A (three goals and two assists), a record for him against a single opponent in the tournament.
