Milan put out a dominant performance at the Dall’Ara, extending their unbeaten run to 22 games, staying close behind Inter. Napoli held the fort at the Maradona, with a spotlight on Antonio Vergara. At the other end of the table, Pisa, Hellas Verona, and Fiorentina remain in the relegation zone, while Torino and Cagliari take advantage of a favourable round.

Lazio 3-2 Genoa: Cataldi in stoppage time, Sarri back to winning ways

A hugely important win for Lazio, who secured all three points at the Olimpico thanks to Danilo Cataldi’s 100th-minute goal, ending a two-game winless streak. The Biancocelesti also claimed their first home Serie A victory since last November (2-0 vs Lecce), breaking a streak of five home matches without a win. For Genoa, it was their first defeat since December (1-3 vs Roma), ending a run of five consecutive positive results. Among the Lazio players, Pedro converted his first Serie A penalty as a starter, while Kenneth Taylor became only the second Dutch midfielder to score for the club. On the Genoa side, Vitinha (3) and Malinovskyi (4) set personal records, scoring more goals in a single Serie A season for the Grifone than ever before.

Pisa 1-3 Sassuolo: Berardi leads the way, Neroverdi ruthless

Sassuolo claimed their first-ever Serie A win at the Arena Garibaldi, defeating a struggling Pisa side at home and delivering a heavy blow to Alberto Gilardino’s position. Domenico Berardi returned to the scoresheet and also set up the second goal, proving once again how decisive he is: among players with at least five goals this season, he has done it in the fewest appearances (13). Michel Aebischer pulled one back. both of his Serie A goals have come against Sassuolo, but Koné sealed the victory. Napoli 2-1 Fiorentina: Vergara lights up the Maradona

Napoli remain unbeaten at home, extending a historic run to 22 matches without a loss (16 wins and six draws), matching their record in the three-points era. The spotlight fell on Antonio Vergara, who scored his first league goal after making his Champions League debut and provided the assist for Gutiérrez’s second, becoming the first Italian player for Napoli to score in two consecutive games across all competitions this season. Solomon pulled one back, but it wasn’t enough for Fiorentina, who registered another worrying stat: nine goals conceded from outside the box, the worst in Serie A and among the top five European leagues. Napoli also set a collective record under Conte: along with Roma and Lens, they have not dropped a single point after taking the lead this season.

Sebastiano Esposito continues to stand out as a creator, providing the most assists in Serie A since December (four), while Riyad Idrissi maintains his scoring record against the Gialloblù, with both of his season goals coming against Verona. Cagliari also achieved three consecutive wins for the first time since April 2021. Verona’s struggles continue: 14 points after 23 games marks their worst start in the three-points era. Marco Carnesecchi was the hero of the night, saving a penalty from Nico Paz in the 98th minute and keeping his side in the game. His saves prevented 2.04 expected goals: the second highest of his career. For Como’s Argentine forward, it was an unwanted record: three penalties taken this season, three missed. Juventus claimed their second consecutive win, moving into the Champions League spots and sending a clear message to the rest of the league. McKennie, Jonathan David, and especially Bremer, who scored his first brace in a Juventus shirt, led a dominant attacking display. Udinese 1-0 Roma: Ekkelenkamp stuns the Giallorossi

A free kick from Ekkelenkamp early in the second half was enough to give Udinese the win over Roma, taking them to 32 points, their best return after 23 matchdays in the last ten seasons, with only one exception. The Friulani delivered a solid performance, while Roma slipped out of the top four, suffering four defeats in their last six away games.
