Looking forward to the 2026/27 Serie A Fixture List

The wait is almost over before the new league fixture list is revealed. Here are the teams and key dates.

The curtain is about to rise on the 2026/27 Serie A season. The official fixture list will be unveiled onĀ Friday 5 June at 18:30 CEST at the magnificent Teatro Regio in Parma during the Serie A Festival. Italy will once again be the first of Europe's top five leagues to reveal its schedule, as was the case last season. Twenty teams will wait to hear their fate, with 38 matchdays and a total of 380 matches to enjoy together.

The promoted sides

The new arrivals are Venezia, Frosinone and Monza.

Venezia's wait lasted just one season. Relegated from Serie A in 2024/25, the Lagunari immediately returned to prominence by winning the Serie B title under Giovanni Stroppa.

For Frosinone, meanwhile, this marks their fourth promotion to Serie A following those achieved in 2014/15, 2017/18 and 2022/23. Massimiliano Alvini's side finished second in the table to secure a return to the top flight after a two-year absence.

Monza's comeback was equally impressive under Paolo Bianco. After finishing third in the regular season, they won the playoffs thanks to a dramatic two-legged final victory over Alberto Aquilani's Catanzaro.

Dates for the diary

The 2026/27 Serie A campaign will officially begin on the weekend of 22-23 August 2026 and conclude on the weekend of 29-30 May 2027.

There will be two midweek rounds. The first will take place on 28 October 2026, while the second will be played on 6 January 2027 during the Epiphany holiday period.

The main novelty concerns the international breaks. There will be a lengthier pause from 21 September to 6 October 2026, while the other two breaks will run from 9 to 17 November 2026 and from 22 to 30 March 2027.

An additional break is scheduled for 26-27 December 2026 during the Christmas period.
