Lecce out to bounce back against Torino

Lecce must take points against Torino. The Granata will be trying to reach Como in tenth place.

It is Lecce’s last home game of the season and they need to win to get out of the relegation zone. They must at least take points in this game to make it all to play for on the final day. It is a lot more relaxed for Il Toro who are trying to get back to winning way after three games without a win,

HEAD-TO-HEAD

Torino have kept a clean sheet in each of their last five Serie A matches against Lecce (W4 D1), only against Brescia (six between 1967 and 1970) and Vicenza (seven between 1942 and 1955) have they recorded more consecutive clean sheets in the competition. The Salentini could go six consecutive matches without scoring against a single opponent for the first time in their Serie A history. After the 0-0 in the reverse match on 15th September 2024, Lecce and Torino could draw two consecutive Serie A matches for only the second time, after 2001/02. In 10 matches at the Via del Mare stadium between Lecce and Torino in Serie A, there’ve been three wins each and four draws; however, the Granata have won both of their last two away matches against the Salentini in the top-flight without conceding a goal.

DID YOU KNOW?

Among teams currently in Serie A, Lecce have the longest open streak of consecutive matches without a win (13 – D5 L8), their last win in the top-flight was back on 31 January 2025 against Parma (3-1 away). Only once in their history have the Salentini recorded a longer streak of consecutive games without a win in Serie A: 16 between November 1997 and March 1998. Torino have won only one of their last seven league games (D3 L3): 2-0 against Udinese on 23 April. In addition, after the defeat against Inter, the Granata could lose two matches in a row in Serie A for the first time since between October and November 2024 (three in that case, against Roma, Fiorentina and Juventus). Only Montpellier (23) have scored fewer goals than Lecce (25, level with Southampton) in the Big-5 European leagues in 2024/25; the Salentini also have the worst shot conversion rate (5.8%) and shooting accuracy (36%) in Serie A this season. Only Venezia (181) and Monza (178) have conceded more shots on target than Lecce (174) and Torino (172) in Serie A this season.
