Juventus vs Frosinone to return to winning ways
With two points in the last four matches and a sudden halt that, on one hand, let Inter slip away and, on the other hand, dangerously closed the gap with AC Milan in second place, Juventus want to return to winning ways in front of their home crowd, also to approach the next two matches against Napoli and Atalanta in the best possible way. Frosinone also needs points after a very good start to the season. In the last ten matches, they've only picked up four points, and Di Francesco's boys need to move up the table to put behind them the three consecutive defeats against Milan, Fiorentina, and Roma.
DID YOU KNOW?
After a series of five consecutive wins, Juventus have not won any of their last four league games (D2 L2); only once have the Bianconeri gone five consecutive Serie A matches without a win in the last 14 years: between April and May 2019, but with the Scudetto already secured. Frosinone have gained 23 points in this championship (W6 D5 L14), just two less than their entire previous season played in Serie A (25 in 2018/19); however, since the beginning of December, the Ciociari are one of the two teams that have lost the most matches (nine like Salernitana) and the one that has conceded the most goals (31) in the competition. Massimiliano Allegri could become the first coach in the history of Serie A to reach the milestone of 1000 points (considering the actual points, hence two before 1994/95): the Juventus coach is currently at 999, the result of 300 wins, 99 draws, and 96 losses.
HEAD-TO-HEAD
After the 1-1 draw in the first-ever encounter between Juventus and Frosinone in Serie A on September 23, 2015 (goals by Simone Zaza and Leonardo Blanchard), the Bianconeri have won all the subsequent four matches against Frosinone in the competition, with an aggregate score of 9-1.
PLAYERS
Dusan Vlahovic has scored more goals than any other player in Serie A in 2024: seven, just three fewer than he scored throughout all of 2023; moreover, after scoring against Sassuolo and Empoli, the Juventus striker can hit the target in at least three consecutive home league matches for the first time since August 2022 (four goals on that occasion). The next match will mark Adrien Rabiot's 200th appearance with Juventus in all competitions (currently at 199) – since his debut with the Bianconeri in the 2019/20 season, among Serie A midfielders, only Nicolò Barella with Inter, Bryan Cristante with Roma, Piotr Zielinski with Napoli, and Marten de Roon with Atalanta have reached this milestone with a single team. Matías Soulé, who played his first 15 Serie A games with Juventus, is one of only three players in the Big-5 European leagues this season to have registered at least 50 shots, created 50 chances, and completed 50 successful dribbles (53+55+73), alongside Leroy Sané and Isco.
