Inter face Napoli in a Scudetto clash
First vs. third, a clash between the Champions of the last two seasons: Inter vs. Napoli is currently one of the most important matches in Serie A Enilive season. Inter arrive to San Siro with a four-point lead over the Neapolitans, riding a wave of six consecutive wins, having scored 14 goals and conceded only two. A perfect opportunity to try to break away and extend the lead to +7. Napoli, over the same period, have collected four points fewer, with a loss to Udinese and a home draw against Verona in the midweek round. They will be dreaming of repeating the 3-1 victory from the end of October in the first-leg match to get back in touch.
HEAD-TO-HEAD
There have been 84 official meetings in Milan between the two teams: Inter have won 54 (most recently 1–0 in Serie A 2022/23), there have been 20 draws (most recently 1–1 in Serie A 2024/25) and Napoli have won 10 (most recently 1–0 away in the Coppa Italia 2019/20).
DID YOU KNOW?
Inter are one point away from sealing the “Winter Champions” title: with the win over Parma and Milan’s draw against Genoa, the Nerazzurri have ensured they can finish top at the halfway stage if they get a positive result in the Matchday 16 rescheduled fixture against Lecce.
Inter have not been crowned Winter Champions since 2023/24, a season in which they then went on to win the Scudetto. They are also the most recent team to lose the league title after finishing the first half of the season top of the table (2021/22, when Milan won the title).
Inter are the top scorers in Serie A 2025/26 with 40 goals.
At the Giuseppe Meazza, one side with no red cards received this season (Inter, like Torino, Lecce, Verona and Cagliari) faces the team that have benefited from the most opposition red cards (4: Napoli).
COACHES and PLAYERS
In their first 30 matches as Inter head coaches, Simone Inzaghi and Cristian Chivu both won 21.
Antonio Conte is the ex of the day: he coached Inter in 2019/20 and 2020/21, taking charge of 102 official matches with a record of 64 wins, 23 draws and 15 defeats. He reached the Europa League final in his first season and won the league title in his second.
Lautaro Martínez top scorer of Serie A 2025/26 after 18 matches played (10 goals).
Since his debut in Serie A Manuel Akanji has played 100% of the available minutes, the only one among the Nerazzurri players.
