The new STELLAR NITRO™ ULTIMATE Serie A 2026/2027 Match Ball

PUMA and Lega Calcio Serie A today unveil the new STELLAR NITRO™ ULTIMATE, the official match ball for the 2026/27 Serie A, Coppa Italia Frecciarossa, EA SPORTS FC Supercup and Primavera 1 competitions.

Designed to meet the demands of the modern game – increasingly faster, more intense and dynamic – the new STELLAR NITRO™ ULTIMATE is the most technologically advanced football ever developed by PUMA. The new STELLAR platform marks a major step forward in match ball innovation, replacing the previous ORBITA generation and introducing a new benchmark in stability, precision and performance.

At the core of the innovation is the proprietary NITROFOAM™ technology, a nitrogen-infused foam engineered to deliver greater energy return on impact, enabling more responsive touches, faster passing and enhanced feel on the ball. Developed to satisfy the needs of players performing at the highest level, the new ball is built to deliver elite performance in every phase of play.

The engineering behind the STELLAR NITRO™ ULTIMATE is reflected in every detail of its construction. The 4+4 panel configuration has been designed to optimize aerodynamics, reduce drag and ensure a more stable and accurate flight path, while the debossed outer surface enhances grip and control, maintaining speed and stability throughout the ball’s trajectory.

The new ball was developed at the PUMA Nitro Lab and tested in Italy. This approach also comes to life in the new creative campaign, set inside a futuristic laboratory generated through artificial intelligence, where the ball undergoes rigorous testing for speed, responsiveness, stability and aerodynamics. For Serie A, the concept incorporates Italian aesthetic and cultural codes, blending technological innovation with refined design in a narrative that captures the precision and elegance of Italian football.
