Gennaro Gattuso Philadelphia Coach Of The Month for October

The Philadelphia Coach Of The Month award for October has been assigned to Lazio coach Gennaro Gattuso. The trophy will be presented during the pre-match of Lazio vs Lecce, scheduled for Saturday 21 October 2026 at 3.00 p.m at the “Olimpico” stadium in Rome.

The award was assigned by a jury of Directors of sports media who evaluated each coach on the basis of technical and sporting criteria and the quality of play of their teams.

For the final calculation were considered the matchdays from 6 to 9 of Serie A 2026/2027

“Lazio’s solitary lead at the top of the table, with a record-breaking number of points after 10 matchdays in the club’s history, speaks volumes about Rino Gattuso’s impact as manager of the Biancocelesti - commented Luigi De Siervo, CEO of Lega Calcio Serie A -. Gattuso has built a modern team characterised by organisation and intensity, and above all one capable of scoring through twelve different players and defending with the mindset of a side that refuses to concede anything. Beyond the sporting achievements, the Calabrian manager deserves great credit for instilling his fighting spirit in his players, moulding a united squad that knows how to adapt perfectly to the various phases of a match”.
