Fiorentina and Parma on the hunt for three points
Important points are at stake at the Franchi, where Fiorentina and Parma will meet at the same time as Hellas Verona vs. Genoa (15:00 CEST). Raffaele Palladino, who will be serving a suspension, has seen his side earn seven points from their last three matches. After their draw in their last outing (against AC Milan), the Viola want to immediately return to winning ways to try and break into the race for a Champions League spot. Parma, who remain deep in the battle to avoid the drop, have drawn their last four matches, including against table-topping Inter in their last encounter on Sunday. Now, they need to win to try and put distance between themselves and the relegation zone.
HEAD TO HEAD
Fiorentina are the opponent against which Parma have drawn the most matches in their history in Serie A: 19 out of 49, with 14 victories for the Gialloblù and 16 wins for the Viola. Fiorentina and Parma have been very evenly matched in their last 14 Serie A games: three wins each and eight draws, including all three of their most recent encounters (in 2020/21 and the 1-1 draw in the first leg on MD1); only between 1992 and 1995 have the two teams drawn more consecutive games in the top-flight (five). Parma are unbeaten in their last three away games at the Franchi against Fiorentina in Serie A: one win (26 December 2018) was followed by two draws; only once have the Ducali recorded four consecutive away games without defeat against the Viola (in their first four away games against this opponent between 1990 and 1995).
DID YOU KNOW?
After the 2-2 against Milan in the most recent match, Fiorentina could draw two consecutive league games for the first time since the first three matchdays of this season (the first of which was against Parma). Fiorentina have won their last three league games at the Franchi without conceding a goal; the last time they achieved at least four consecutive wins while keeping a clean sheet in Serie A was between May and October 2015 (six in that case). The Viola have not recorded four consecutive home clean sheets in the league since the period between February and April 2018. Parma have drawn their last four league games and only once in their Serie A history have they recorded five draws in a row: between April and May 2019, with Roberto D'Aversa as coach. Only Inter (36) and Napoli (35) have earned more points than Fiorentina (33, equal with Bologna) in home matches this season in Serie A, while on the other hand, only Monza and Venezia (seven each) have obtained fewer points away from home than Parma (10). Fiorentina are both the team that have scored the most goals (10) in the first 15 minutes of play and the only one yet to concede in the same period of play this season; the last Serie A season in which the Viola scored more in the first 15 minutes was in 2012/13 (11).
PLAYERS
Moise Kean is the player who has scored the most goals (five) in the first 10 minutes of games in the big five European Leagues in 2024/25. Furthermore, only Harry Kane (15) has scored more goals than the Italian striker in home games this season in these leagues (12, level with Kylian Mbappé, Robert Lewandowski and Ante Budimir). Ange-Yoan Bonny is the Parma player who has been involved in the most goals in Serie A this season (nine: six goals and three assists); since the data has been available (since 2004/05), only three Parma players aged 21 or under have reached 10 involvements in a single Serie A season: Dejan Kulusevski (18 in 2019/20), Ishak Belfodil (12 in 2012/13) and Giuseppe Rossi (13 in 2006/07).
