Cristian Chivu Philadelphia Coach Of The Season for Serie A 2025/2026

The Philadelphia Coach Of The Season award of the Serie A Enilive 2025/2026 has been awarded to Inter coach Cristian Chivu. The trophy will be presented during the post-match of Bologna-Inter, at the ‘Renato Dall’Ara’ stadium in Bologna.

The award was assigned by a jury of Directors of sports media who evaluated each coach on the basis of technical and sporting criteria and the quality of play of their teams, as well as their behaviour/fair play during matches.

For the final calculation were considered all the matchdays of Serie A 2025/2026 (with the exception of round 38).

"Cristian Chivu’s season at the helm of Inter has been truly extraordinary - said Luigi De Siervo, CEO of Lega Calcio Serie A -. In his first year on the bench of a professional team from the start of the season, Chivu immediately demonstrated the winning DNA he possessed as a player, guiding his lads to play a style of football that was both solid and attacking, which saw the Nerazzurri finish the season averaging more than two goals per game and with a goal difference of around 30 goals over the team in second place. It took Chivu just 48 matchdays as a Serie A manager to be crowned Italian Champion (second only to Mourinho in the three-points era), and by adding the Coppa Italia victory to the Scudetto, he became the only manager to achieve this historic double in his first season in charge of Inter. These figures and records confirm Cristian Chivu’s rightful place among the great managers of our Serie A".
