Como seeking another three points against Parma

The Lariani are aiming to stay among the front-runners, while Parma need points to climb the table.

After the excitement of their Champions League debut, Como turn their attention back to the domestic front as they welcome Parma. The Lariani began with a draw away to Udinese before beating Napoli and Genoa, and they are now chasing a third straight victory to remain near the top of the standings. Parma earned their first point against Monza last weekend following defeats to Cagliari and Juventus, but they need another positive result to move further up the table.

HEAD-TO-HEAD

There have been 26 previous competitive meetings between the two sides in Como: 12 wins for Como (most recently 1-0 in Serie A 2025/26), 8 draws (most recently 1-1 in Serie A 2024/25) and 6 wins for Parma (most recently 2-1 in the 1987/88 Coppa Italia).

Parma’s last win at the Sinigaglia dates back to 30 August 1987, in the Coppa Italia: a 2-1 victory with goals from Impallomeni and Pasa for the Ducali, after Maccoppi had temporarily equalised for Como.

Como made their first-ever Serie A appearance on 11 September 1949: in their first home match in the Italian top flight, the Lariani beat Palermo 1-0 thanks to Mario Stua’s decisive goal.

Como have not played a home match in Serie A or Coppa Italia since 17 May, when they beat Parma 1-0. Since then, they have played 4 consecutive away matches before today’s return to the Sinigaglia.

Como are unbeaten in their last 8 matches ahead of the Champions League meeting with Leipzig: 6 wins and 2 draws. Their last defeat came on 21 April, Inter-Como 3-2 in the Coppa Italia semi-final.

Only Roma (56) and Inter (51) have created more chances than Como (48) in Serie A 2026/27.

Parma have gone 309 minutes without scoring away from home: their last away goal was scored by Elphege in the 51st minute of Udinese-Parma 0-1 on 18 April in Serie A.

Parma have attempted fewer shots than any other team in Serie A 2026/27 (22).

COACHES and PLAYERS

This will be the 3rd official meeting between Cesc Fabregas and Carlos Cuesta: the previous 2, both in Serie A 2025/26, produced a 0-0 draw at the Tardini and a 1-0 win for Como at the Sinigaglia.

Álex Valle has made more interceptions than any other player in Serie A 2026/27 (19, level with Vojvoda).

Assane Diao scored against Genoa: he had not scored a brace in Serie A since 19 April 2025, in Lecce-Como 0-3.

Simone Lontani scored against Monza: it was his 1st Serie A goal, after the brace he scored in the Coppa Italia against Catania on 15 August. In professional football, he has scored 3 goals in 249 minutes, averaging 1 goal every 83 minutes.
