Cagliari host Torino in the hopes of securing safety

Cagliari take on Torino at home as they look to celebrate survival in front of their own fans.

A six-point lead over third-bottom Cremonese and two games still to play. Following their defeat to Udinese last week, Cagliari are looking for a point, which would make them mathematically safe. Though should the Grigiorossi and Lecce both fail to win, they would be safe regardless. The Granata, meanwhile, are on the hunt for a second straight win, following their victory over Sassuolo, in the hopes that they can build form ahead of next week’s derby.

HEAD TO HEAD

There have been 47 previous official matches between the two sides at Cagliari’s home ground: the record stands at 18 Sardinian wins (the last being a 3-2 victory, Serie A 2025/26), 19 draws (the last being a 1-1 draw, Serie A 2021/22) and 10 Torino wins (the last being a 1-2 victory, 2023/24 Serie A season).
