A LONG HISTORY WITH BAYERN
It was above all with Bayern Munich that Alaba established himself on the international stage. Having arrived in Bavaria at a very young age, the Austrian spent more than a decade at the club, becoming one of its key figures.
Alaba made 431 official appearances for Bayern’s first team, scoring 33 goals and providing 54 assists while building an extraordinary collection of honours. In Germany, he initially made his name on the left flank before later moving into the centre of defence, showcasing his remarkable tactical versatility over the years.
FOUR CHAMPIONS LEAGUE TITLES
Alaba’s career has also been closely linked to the Champions League, a competition in which he has made 125 appearances for Bayern Munich and Real Madrid. He lifted the trophy with the Bavarian giants in 2013 and 2020, before adding further European success during his years in Spain.
In 2021, he joined Real Madrid, where he spent five seasons. His time with Los Blancos came to an end in 2026 after 131 appearances and 11 trophies across domestic and international competitions.
A MAINSTAY FOR AUSTRIA
Alaba has also brought his experience and leadership to the international stage. Captain of Austria, he led his country at the 2026 World Cup, starting all three group-stage matches as well as the Round of 32 clash against Spain.
He remains a central figure for his national team, having made his mark on several generations of Austrian football and already reached the milestone of 100 international appearances in 2023.
