AC Milan host Verona with top spot in sight

The Rossoneri look to beat Verona to move, at least temporarily, to the top, while the visitors hunt for crucial points.

After last week’s break due to AC Milan’s commitments in Saudi Arabia, AC Milan and Verona dive back into league action. The Rossoneri, unbeaten in Serie A for 14 matches, moving on from the disappointment of the EA SPORTS FC Supercup in Riyadh, are aiming to reclaim top spot after their draw to Sassuolo allowed Inter to overtake them. Verona, meanwhile, go into the fixture confident after back-to-back wins against Atalanta and Fiorentina, dreaming of a remarkeable third straight victory that would get them out of the relegation zone.

HEAD-TO-HEAD

At San Siro, the two teams have met 38 times in official matches: 22 wins for Milan (most recently 1–0 in Serie A 2024/25), 16 draws (most recently 2–2 in Serie A 2020/21) and no wins for Verona.

Verona have conceded at Milan in 17 consecutive matches (37 goals in total). Their last clean sheet at San Siro dates back to 7 February 1990 in Serie A (Milan–Verona 0–0).
