The ‘Keep Racism Out’ campaign returns to Serie A Enilive pitches

On the occasion of the 29th and 30th Serie A matches, Lega Calcio Serie A and UNAR promote their awareness campaign against racism.

Lega Calcio Serie A and UNAR (the National Office Against Racial Discrimination of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers) renew their commitment to combating racism and all forms of discrimination by promoting their awareness campaign “Keep Racism Out” during Matchdays 29 and 30 of the 2025/2026 Serie A season, in conjunction with the 22nd Week of Action Against Racism (14–22 March 2026).

Since last season, the initiative has introduced an innovative and more direct approach toward the public, transforming the language and gestures typical of football fandom into tools in the fight against racism. Football belongs to everyone, but those who spread hate are not part of it: “If you discriminate. If you are racist. YOU are #OUT.”

There are many activities planned across all Serie A pitches:

  • for the first time, on Matchday 29, each player, coach and match official will receive a “Keep Racism Out” shirt and the Lega Calcio Serie A and UNAR Manifesto against racism as a gift in the dressing rooms;
  • in every stadium, the ball podium, the line-up arch in front of which all teams will line up and the substitution board will be personalised with the initiative's sticker;
  • the captains will wear the armband symbolising the day;
  • the “Keep Racism Out” patch will appear on the right sleeve of all players' shirts, while the UNAR patch will be applied to the kits worn by the children involved in the match ceremony;
  • the campaign video will be shown on the big screens, featuring three exceptional testimonials - Fabio Capello, Alessandro Del Piero and Christian Vieri - united in delivering a strong message  of inclusion and saying OUT to racism. The stadium announcer will also read a message to raise awareness among the fans in the stands;
  • before and after the match, managers, coaches and players who appear for interviews will wear the campaign’s sticker on their jackets. Coaches and/or managers will also read an appeal to combat all forms of discrimination;
  • on television, in Italy and abroad, graphics dedicated to the initiative will be broadcast shortly before the kick-off of each match.

"Football must be a place of passion, fair play and inclusion. For this reason, Lega Calcio Serie A is always at the forefront of the fight against racism and all forms of discrimination through its awareness campaign “Keep Racism Out”, promoted together with UNAR since 2020 to strengthen the culture of respect, both inside and outside stadiums," said Lega Calcio Serie A President Ezio Simonelli. "The fact that no sanctions for incidents of racial discrimination have been recorded over the past two seasons is an important and encouraging sign, the result of the joint efforts of Institutions, Clubs and the League. However, we must remain vigilant, and once again this year, on the occasion of Matchdays 29 and 30, there will be numerous initiatives planned across all Serie A pitches, with the aim of sending a clear and unequivocal message to fans: racism has no place in football or in our society. The involvement of players is fundamental in this process, as they are role models for millions of young people. For this reason, for the first time, we have decided to give all the protagonists of the Championship the “Keep Racism Out” shirt and Manifesto, so that, through their example and their voice, to convey the values of respect and tolerance to the younger generation".

“The Week of Action Against Racism represents an important moment to renew and strengthen the commitment against all forms of discrimination. The collaboration between UNAR and Lega Calcio Serie A stems from the desire to harness football’s great communicative power to promote a culture of respect and inclusion. With the ‘Keep Racism Out’ campaign we reaffirm a clear message: racism has no place in sport or in society. Raising awareness among fans, athletes and younger generations is essential to building an increasingly open sporting environment, where respect and the appreciation of differences are shared values,” said Mattia Peradotto, Director of UNAR.

Among the other initiatives planned, the official ‘Keep Racism Out’ kit will be launched on Saturday 21 March within the Football Ultimate Team™ (FUT) mode of EA SPORTS FC™ 26. Players from all over the world will be able to promote the message by unlocking the custom kit featuring the dark blue and light blue colours of the Lega Calcio Serie A, the red stripe and the ‘Keep Racism Out’ logo on the front of the shirts. This initiative is part of EA SPORT FC's long-standing annual campaign to proudly support its partner leagues in the ongoing fight against racism.

The shared commitment of Lega Calcio Serie A and UNAR is summarised in the “Keep Racism Out” Manifesto, which encapsulates the values and objectives of the initiative in a clear and unequivocal message.

The Manifesto is a call to take a stand: racism is not an opinion, it is not an option. It has no place in football, in stadiums or in society. Discrimination, hatred and violence have no place in the most beautiful game in the world, and those who choose to remain silent become accomplices.

Football must be a space for inclusion, passion and respect, without distinction of ethnicity, gender, religion or orientation. A simple but powerful gesture. A message to be taken to the stands, to the streets and to social media, to remind everyone that racism is not tolerated, it is fought:

OUT. ONE WORD. ONE CHOICE.
