Roberto Baggio in South America to promote ‘Made in Italy’

The Italian football legend, in his role as Ambassador for Lega Calcio Serie A, visited Argentina and Brazil alongside ITA (Italian Trade Agency) and MAECI (the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation) to promote Italy’s sectors of excellence

This season sees the Lega Calcio Serie A continuing its commitment to working alongside ITA (Italian Trade Agency) and MAECI (the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation) in supporting the very best of ‘Made in Italy’ around the world. In recent years, Serie A Ambassadors have been present at the most important international trade fairs, from New York to Bangkok, from Paris to New Delhi. The special ambassador accompanying the Business Mission to South America – specifically to Buenos Aires (Argentina) and São Paulo (Brazil) – has been Roberto Baggio, the Italian football legend loved worldwide for his achievements on the pitch and for the example he has always set in every context, even off the pitch.

On both occasions, Baggio took part in a number of meetings with the Italian and local institutions present, in the presence of the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Antonio Tajani; the Minister for Education and Merit, Giuseppe Valditara; and the President of the Italian Trade Agency, Matteo Zoppas.
